Fort Lauderdale Debuts ‘The Fort’: 43 Pickleball Courts and The Florida Room Restaurant Open in Snyder Park

Fort Lauderdale is fast becoming Fort Pickleball. The city has opened The Fort, a massive pickleball complex in Snyder Park featuring 43 courts — 14 covered — and the world’s first pickleball stadium. Players of all skill levels can take free beginner classes, join leagues, and connect with fellow enthusiasts in an energetic, community-driven space.

After a match, players can unwind at The Florida Room, a restaurant by chefs Janine Booth and Jeff McGinnis, offering everything from pizza and ribs to high-end short ribs. With courts packed daily and a menu full of pickles and local flair, The Fort is Fort Lauderdale’s newest hotspot for sport, food, and fun.
